What is Chronicles?
Chronicles is an Adventure Network. Users can create profiles to highlight their achievements and describe their expeditions. On Chronicles, you can have your profile and connect with other Athletes or Explorers, follow their journey, and exchange ideas, and plans.
Who is it for?
Explorer and Adventure Athletes mainly use Chronicles. These can be polar explorers, ultra runners, mountaineers, kayakers, etc. However Chronicles is open to everyone, yet there might be some restrictions and some user groups have other functionalities, especially around creating profiles.
What is a guest user?
A Guest user can engage with the app like every one else, but can not (yet) create their own profile page. Guest users do not appear in Search or on Discover pages, but can bookmark other users and also comment and engage
Who can create a profile?
During the launching phase only invited and selected users can create profiles.
Everyone can create guest accounts and use those to interact with all other users.
Eventually, all users will get the ability to create full profiles. We will keep the community up to date on timelines.
How can I get an invitation?
Invitations are sent out on an ongoing basis to highly accomplished explorers and athletes. As a next step, an application window will open where everyone can apply for a profile. Criteria will be published as soon as the application is open.
We expect this to be in early 2025
Do I need the app to view profiles?
Chronicles is available on the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store, and (limited) web access.
Web access is mainly used to share profiles with others so they can view them, even if they do not have the app installed.
So no, you do not need the app to view profiles, but web access has limited functionality.
Who is behind Chronicles?
Chronicles is owned and operated by the World Explorers Collective. We are a voluntary association based out of Copenhagen, Denmark. To find out more about the World Explorers Collective you can visit www.worldexplorerscollective.com
How can I report or block users?
On every user's profile, you find three dots in the top right corner. This opens an option menu for you to report and block users.
If you block a user, this user can not comment on your expeditions or reply to any of your comments.
If you witness behavior that violates our Terms or is abusive you can report a user. We will then follow up with an investigation to determine appropriate measures.

I want to delete my account or remove data. How do I do that?
Most of the data you can delete yourself through the app.
To delete your entire account and / or all data you can send a request to help@chronicles.network stating which data or information you want to have removed.
